Lighting is another one of those personal preference items in a market with a dizzying array of options. I have been using this Petzl lamp for years, and it has never let me down. It is a hybrid lamp which means it is rechargeable and it can also run off of 3 AAA batteries if you run out of charge. You can always buy extra rechargeable batteries to keep them on hand.
